Founding story
Hafring was founded by senior practitioners who spent years delivering digitalisation and smart port projects across the European ferry sector — working with operators, port authorities, and technology providers on both sides of the Baltic and beyond.
We kept running into the same problem. The operators who needed help most were caught between generalist consultants with no maritime depth, and technology vendors with an obvious conflict of interest. Nobody was sitting on the operator's side of the table with real delivery experience and no product to sell.
Hafring exists to fix that.

We build the right team around each engagement — drawing from a curated network of senior ferry and port professionals: former C-suite operators, technical specialists, programme managers, and domain advisors who work on these challenges every day.
